WOOO! First family camping trip ever!
Our whole family (even my favorite aunt) and I drove a little over 2 hours to get to this beautiful chalet cabin on Mount Jackson!
I think this was the longest car ride i've been in so far, but my mom was super prepared (maybe a little over-prepared) for me to be completely comfy the whole time!
We included a basic camping checklist for pups at the bottom :)
We were a little worried about how easily accessible everything would be for me since the cabin is on a mountain, but once I went up the stairs that led up to the cabin, everything else was smoooooth sailing.
This is the dog-friendly chalet cabin we stayed at: https://www.vrbo.com/2872997?unitId=3445034&childrenCount=0&noDates=true&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=earned:vrbo:sharecopylink:USA&utm_content=2872997&oc=EEELU5WImPhmzYKFWJWzR
The cabin was super clean with lots of indoor AND outdoor space plus a cool fire pit!
I'm a little sad that I didn't get to see a bear, but I did get to see some cows (see section: Paugh's orchard)!
Lake Laura: Dog friendly with breath taking views
Hiking at Lake Laura:
It was a pretty easy hike (2 hours at most at an average walking pace), smooth terrain - with a couple places where I asked my dad to pick me up.
*Be cautious of bears, snakes, bugs such as ticks and other poisonous plants!*
Paugh's Orchard: Farm Produce Market with a small orchard (dog-friendly)
Maybe because we came during an off-time but there were no more apples for us to pick.
We did get some more fresh air and saw lots and lots of cows!
We went camping during the weekdays in order to avoid the crowds so most places we wanted to visit were closed. Hopefully we can visit next time!
Here are the dog-friendly places we wanted to visit:
Kindred Pointe Vineyard
Swover Creek Farms Brewery
Bryce Resort
The following places seemed to have outdoor seating for pups to come along or served food that we could take to-go :
Freed's Biscuit Company
Bean's Barbecue
RHouse Wine & Cafe
Overall, our trip was super relaxing and since i'm an "adventure dog", I had the most fun being outdoors for most of the day, every day!! Hopefully we can go on another outdoor trip soon :)
Leave us any recommendations in the comments below, we'd love to travel everywhere and anywhere as long as we're all together!! :)
